World Environment Day: Chloride Management

Hantho is environmentally aware of what chlorides do to the environment.

For over 35 years we have used liquid brine as a part of our winter management process to minimize the destructive effect of salt on the environment while still providing a safe solution to tenants and building owners.

We are aware of what over use of chlorides do to our streams, rivers, and lakes, which is why we use liquids as a pre treat to reduce post treatments of granular salt. We also use a pre wet sprayed onto granular salt to prevent the bounce factor and produce faster brining.

We use straight liquids as a post treatment and are constantly working to reduce the use of salt.

We are MPCA certified, trained in Smart Salting, and Certified Snow Professionals with over 30 years of experience in the industry using liquids.
