Irrigation Service Technician
Irrigation Service Technicians are responsible for the start-up, shut down and troubleshooting and repairing all types of irrigation systems. Irrigation Service Technicians follow a predetermined route in order to inspect, repair, and maintain irrigation systems for commercial clients.
Daily Responsibilities & Expectations
- Utilizes job tracking software.
- Follows predetermined route and schedule.
- Able to safely operate a truck and trailer.
- Thorough understanding of irrigation systems including traditional and 2-wire systems.
- Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains commercial Irrigation systems.
- Maintains knowledge of various irrigation equipment.
- Keeps truck and supplies neat and organized.
- Communicates with customers on-site.
Qualifications
- One to two years’ experience in irrigation field
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Required)
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Health card, or ability to obtain one
- Back flow certification, or ability to obtain one
- Low voltage certification, or ability to obtain one
Physical Requirements
- Stand for long periods of time
- Stoop, bend, lift, kneel, carry objects for short distances
- Work in adverse weather including heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Twist body and lift/ push 75 lbs without difficulty
- Wheelbarrow up to 200 lbs at a time
